Don Schumacher Racing Installs MacroAir Fans for Fast Savings.
DSR created a sustainable environment and increased employee comfort with MacroAir fans.
Problem: They were challenged to cut operating costs in their facility.
Solution: They installed eight MacroAir AVD 550 fans.
Result: They were able to set the thermostat up to 8º higher in summer months, resulting in over 30% energy savings in the summer. And they are expected to see 30-40% savings on their heating bill this winter.
In an interview – during the 2017 National Hot Rod Association Finals in Pomona, California – Don Schumacher, owner of Don Schumacher Racing, discussed the benefits of having state-of-the-art MacroAir fans in DSR’s 150,000 sq. ft. race shop in Brownsburg, Indiana.
In speaking to how the fans are key to cooling and creating sustainability for DSR’s facility during the summer months, owner Don Schumacher said:
“The MacroAir fans were installed in my facility this summer. The fans move a tremendous amount of air and make it more comfortable for all of the employees. We have actually been able to increase our thermostat by 8 degrees during the summer because of the amount of air it moves.”
DSR has been able to create a sustainable environment and increased employee comfort while also having a viable heating option for the winter through MacroAir’s reverse function.
“I am confident – by it moving that warm air down – it will make the employees more comfortable, we’ll be able to lower our thermostat and we should be able to save 30 – 40% on our heating bill”, Schumacher added.
