Project to decrease the amount of non-recycled waste, improve recycling quality and enable switch of waste recycling industry to new, development track
These contradictions are becoming particularly poignant at the current stage of development, when the production of goods has become technologically advanced enough to satisfy the needs of the entire planet’s population. Unrestricted consumption has already led to an environmental crisis and has placed humanity on the verge of an environmental disaster.
Today, we are joining forces in order to demonstrate that a product’s lifecycle does not end at the moment when it ceases to be useful to people.
The Troventum project aims to decrease the amount of non-recycled waste, improve the quality of recycling and establish the conditions for the switch of the waste recycling industry to a new, innovative development track.
The project will allow to resolve the majority of global issues of the waste processing industry:
· Insufficient consumer motivation for waste collection;
· Difficulties of organizing waste collection and its low efficiency;
· Shortage of raw materials at waste processing enterprises due to low collection efficiency;
· Unprofitability of collection of certain types of waste;
· Low recycling efficiency at enterprises;
· Bureaucratization of the industry;
· Limited transparency of recycling-related information;
· Climate of general distrust within the industry.
The Troventum platform will create the conditions required for establishing a collection system capable of providing a continuous stream of recycled waste for subsequent processing. It was made possible by uniting all the participants of the consumer goods lifecycle within an integrated digital platform, utilizing blockchain technology. Blockchain and smart contracts will allow to eliminate the barrier between goods manufacturers and recyclers, make their cooperation mutually rewarding and transparent.
The Troventum platform offers an exhaustive set of instruments for each of the circular economy participants.
Goods manufacturers, retailers, consumers and waste recyclers – we are all a part of a large ecosystem, and all of us have to exert efforts in order to save nature’s critical resources.
Modern technologies allow to seek out truly global and meaningful solutions for the recycling industry. Ten years ago, no one could imagine that instant tracking of the entire transaction chain between partners, effecting settlements in cryptocurrencies, impressive Big Data processing and analysis speeds would be possible. These modern phenomena, which aim to resolve the global planetary issues, should be used for the good of humanity.
«Every country in the world faces the issue of recycling used equipment and other products. Russian Federation is among the countries with a high consumption level and a low efficiency and transparency of the recycling industry. We are creating the required infrastructure and the technological solutions to unite all the players in the economy within the Troventum pilot project, partnering with MAGLUG GC, which is one of the major recycling companies, and with the support of the Non-Commercial Partnership National Self-regulating Organization of Scrap Metal Recyclers RUS- LOM.COM international association.» – Ivan Kalishevich, the head of the Troventum project.
There are 7 billion potential platform participants – the entire population of the planet Earth from 180 countries.
According to the estimate of the MarketsandMarkets analytical agency, the volume of services (Collection, Recycling, Incineration, Landfill) provided by the global industrial waste management industry is slated to grow from €720 billion in 2014 to €1.2 trillion by 2019.
Combining the efforts of all the circular economy participants will subsequently allow to create a large-scale consumer motivation bonus program and to implement environmental programs for children and adults.
Zero environmental footprint should be the goal of humanity. The situation wherein the recycling industry is equal in volume in the production industry is not in the remote future, it is the aim of the Troventum project.
