REAL-TIME CARGO TRACKING SERVICE SEES HUGE DEMAND AS TRACKING METHODS ARE SOUGHT BY SUPPLY CHAINS DUE TO UK PORT BACKLOG
Hanhaa is a leading British internet-of-things innovator and private LTE/5G network supplier. Its first integrated solution, ParceLive, is a real-time, multimodal cargo tracking service has seen a dramatic increase in the number of businesses seeking its new supply chain services to manage the ongoing backlog and disturbance to global supply chains.
With tens of thousands of containers backlogged in ports around the UK many businesses face a chaotic festive season and start to 2021as freight ports buckle under the collective pressure of Covid-19, Christmas and Brexit. Containers are normally moved within 48 hours of arriving but currently this is taking up to 10 days.
Launched less than two years ago by CEO Azhar Hussain MBE, ParceLive is a real-time cargo tracking service that connects users via the secure Hanhaa XG mobile network to live information about the location, condition and security of their assets regardless of their country, method of transport, carrier or scale.
ParceLive is already being deployed internationally by leading logistics vendors and channel partners including Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, GEODIS, DS Smith, and Arvarto.
CEO Azhar Hussain MBE said; “We are seeing a rise in the number of end-users who want more control over the security of their assets.
“Our data driven approach not only protects and tracks cargo but also provides incredible opportunities for supply chain optimization and costs reduction by identifying delays and pinch points in the journey.”
Customers are enjoying a wealth of insight and more streamlined processes with ParceLive. “We explored other trackers but ParceLive is the most intelligent on the market,” concluded DS Smith. “Together with ParceLive, we are taking away the operational complexity of shipment tracking in order to enable a truly scalable & efficient supply chain,” stated Here Technologies.
ParceLive trackers can be used throughout a journey, with uninterrupted monitoring whether on road, ocean, air or rail and airline certification from the world’s largest carriers including British Airways, Etihad, KLM, AirFrance.
CEO Azhar Hussain MBE continued; “Each ParceLive tracker has sensors to track the shipment’s condition. In addition to pinpointing its GPS location, the sensors detect temperature, humidity, impact, tilt, shipment breaches and orientation. Should a shipment be dropped, opened or exposed to temperature or humidity outside of defined parameters, an alert is activated on the system and transmitted via the Hanhaa XG network to the ParceLive portal.”
