ARROWXL ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT EXPANSION OF DONCASTER DEPOT TO MEET GROWING DEMAND
ArrowXL, the UK’s largest and longest established two-person home delivery specialist, has expanded their Doncaster operation to meet the growing demands of its clients, and optimise operations in Yorkshire and the North-East.
The 20,000 square foot site will not only increase the overall capacity for handling deliveries but also streamline logistics and deliver a number of sustainable benefits such as reduced energy usage and better route optimisation. By operating closer to its customers ArrowXL will reduce their total miles driven by 700,000 miles per annum, significantly reducing their carbon footprint in line with their environmental commitment.
The site expansion will support economic growth in the local community with the recruitment of an additional 12 FTE members of staff plus a variable workforce of six. ArrowXL will retain their experienced delivery crews from the original site whose experience and knowledge of the area is invaluable.
Luke Barton, Chief Operations Officer at ArrowXL said: “Our new Yorkshire operating centre will not only generate operational efficiencies and take miles off the road, but will also vastly improve access to our network for current and prospective clients in the area. As a modern facility it also provides a great place to work for our colleagues as we continue to deliver the highest standards of service.”
