BIRDIE FORTESCUE CHOOSES TO PARTNER WITH PROLOG

Luxury homeware brand Birdie Fortescue has chosen global fulfilment specialist, Prolog Fulfilment, as its fulfilment partner to support the company’s continued growth which has seen it expand from a regional Norfolk antiques business into an international label, partnering with high-profile collaborators and launching its first U.S. digital and pop-up presence in New York.

The partnership will see Prolog manage the end-to-end fulfilment journey for Birdie Fortescue, supporting the brand’s commitment to quality, presentation and customer experience and its focus on ‘high quality products that are made to be cherished for generations to come’. Under the terms of the deal Prolog will provide secure, warehousing for the full Birdie Fortescue range, from smaller homeware products through to large and bulky furniture. Specialist handling procedures are in place for high-value and fragile items, with quality checks throughout the operation to ensure products leave the warehouse in perfect condition.

Orders will be accurately picked, packed and dispatched using packaging appropriate to the products and the premium positioning of the Birdie Fortescue brand. For larger and heavier furniture, Prolog will coordinate a two-man delivery service, with customers able to select booked delivery slots. The white-glove service includes delivery to the room of choice, unpacking, positioning and removal of packaging where required, ensuring products are handled with care through to their final destination.

The solution also includes a range of value-added services with the Prolog team undertaking assembly and finishing work, to ensure each product is perfect when it arrives. Orders will be picked, packed and dispatched using special packaging appropriate to the products and the premium positioning of the Birdie Fortescue brand.

Prolog will manage all returns and aftercare, with items inspected and processed efficiently to protect stock value while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Steph Mitcheson, Business Development Director at Prolog, said: “The partnership reflects the growing demand among premium home and interiors brands for fulfilment solutions that go beyond conventional warehousing and distribution, providing the specialist handling, added value services and customer experience required for high-value brands.  Our solution gives Birdie Fortescue a single, trusted partner managing the full journey from warehouse to living room, protecting the brand’s reputation for quality at every step.”

A spokesperson for Birdie Fortescue, said: “As Birdie Fortescue continues to grow, it is essential that every part of the customer journey reflects the quality, care and attention to detail that goes into our products. Prolog’s specialist approach gives us confidence that our homeware will be handled with the same care from the moment it enters the warehouse through to delivery into our customers’ homes. Their ability to provide a scalable fulfilment solution also gives us the flexibility and infrastructure we need to support our next stage of growth.”
